2024 Shiraz

A wine of widespread appeal that gifts approachibility and further potential for ageing. Generous Grampians hallmarks of elevated spice, intense black fruits and medium-bodied elegance. Unctuous mouthfeel and fine grained tannins are a big attraction. Everything is in its place.

A dense wine with bright overtones is this vibrant delight of fresh Blue and Blackberries backed up by spice and pepper with a lick of Liquorice. Aged in 1-year old French and American oak barrels for 15 months that gives a lift of enjoyment to this wine. Probably our best for a decade and will go on and live well for another 10 years.

Vibrant Magents Red colour with a brilliant hue. Nose is fragrant to boot with spice and delicate pepper plus subtle vanilla notes. The palate displays many youthful options of blueberries & spice with nuanced vanilla and cinnamon finish.

Oak is toned down to ensure fruit is expressed. Plenty of Grampians character of spice and pepper notes. This wine is made for current drinking and will be great over the next 5 to 10 years.

Reserve Shiraz

This is our second reserve Shiraz ever produced, from the best of Laharum fruit!

It is dense in colour and loaded with bright scents of iodine and pepper and blueberries. When crafting this wine, it was fermented in small open fermenters and left on skins for 3 weeks before being pressed into new French and American oak barrels where it slept for the next 16 months. Before being liberated into tanks prior to bottling. Its taut palate is guided by the oak nestled into the fold as is slides down the throat. Once savoured, it is indelibly marked with mace and a potpourri of berries and spice, balanced by a sweet lick of juicy fruit and oak.

Best drunk in 2034.
